Debbie gave me many good ideas for my project. She reworked some furniture pieces that I already had and gave lots of new furniture options to choose from, that were with in my budget. Most importantly she prompted me to pull the trigger on things that I had been waiting on for no particular reason other than that I could not make up my mind. Wow! Our expectations were beyond exceeded with Debbie from Butter and Velvet! We had a living room that really needed an upgrade and an overall brightening up. There were some challenges with the existing room, it already had a dark wood plank ceiling and a large rock wall. It was a cozy space, but it was dark and needed lightening and more modern touches. Debbie suggested lighter furniture, an amazing new couch, a custom area rug, and flooring. We needed flooring that worked with our son's wheelchair and she offered options that I didn't know were available. We ended up with flooring around the perimeter and a custom, beautiful rug for the middle of the room which is absolutely gorgeous! We are so beyond happy with our living room, it is so gorgeous, sometimes I can't believe It's our house! I highly recommend Debbie, she is an absolute professional and has an amazing vision for design.

My husband and I wanted to update our great room, dining room and office and Debbie proved to be a wonderful and knowledgeable professional who quickly understood our concerns, tastes, and needs. After hearing about our goals she and her team developed a number of options for our consideration. I can be easily overwhelmed with too many choices and I trusted and appreciated her confidence to provide options(chair designs or fabrics, for instance) of various pricing or style for us to consider. We recently renovated the kitchen and family room. We knocked down a wall to open the space in the kitchen. Therefore I wanted the design to flow through both rooms since these are the most high traffic areas and rooms we spend the most time of for a family of 6 (including 4 children under 13). My family room has always been a pain point because I have zero design abilities (as much as I am obsessed with watching HGTV..lol). Therefore thats why we decided to call in the experts at butter & velvet came highly recommended by many people in my town. From our first meeting they closely listened to our needs and our styles that we like. There were many design options presented and helped us narrow down what we liked and fit our budget. Through the process of a home renovation we also experienced a severe family illness that led to hospitalization. Through it all everyone at B&V has been so accommodating with purchases, deliveries, multiple visits to our home, etc. Even when an item was broken when delivered it was take care of within minutes and a replacement was ordered. Responses to emails and texts have always been same day which is extremely reassuring when making real time design and construction decisions. Everything has come together so seamlessly and I am so excited about the two new spaces. It is such a happy place and can't wait to make so many memories in years to come. We love Michaeline and her crew! They entered my house while my daughter was at school and I was at work. She accomplished a complete redo of my daughter's room by the end of the day, It went from a toddler's room to a "big" girls room. CYS redecorated our 12 year old daughter's bedroom. The room is fun and energetic, a perfect compliment to our daughter. Michaeline worked with our daughter, asking her opinion on fabrics and colors. Allowing her to be a part of the process was so smart. We are all thrilled with the results.

Designed and redecorated a sunroom, which is used primarilly for watching TV by young teengars. The budget was fairly low, so Michaeline made few changes, but they had significant impact. She also shopped with me at stores like Home Goods to buy nice items at good prices. She suggested refinishing the wood floors and painting, which were simple to do, not too expensive, and were major visual enhancements. The room is long and narrow, which is challenging to arrange funriture, so she suggested that we primarilly provide seating in the room, rather than clutter it with too many decoarative items. She helped me to find a gently used modular couch which is so comfy. The room was not only a big hit with the teenagers, but also with my husand and myself. Michaeline turned a dated 'kids room' into a room to be enjoyed by the entire family. Including the dogs!

I hired Michaeline after we completed a major renovation on our home. The house went from having many small rooms to a large, open floor plan. She helped us to blend the spaces while still using the furniture that we had. She incorporated new drapes, some new rugs, new paint colors and accessories. The space came together beautifully!
