Wow! Our expectations were beyond exceeded with Debbie from Butter and Velvet! We had a living room that really needed an upgrade and an overall brightening up. There were some challenges with the existing room, it already had a dark wood plank ceiling and a large rock wall. It was a cozy space, but it was dark and needed lightening and more modern touches. Debbie suggested lighter furniture, an amazing new couch, a custom area rug, and flooring. We needed flooring that worked with our son's wheelchair and she offered options that I didn't know were available. We ended up with flooring around the perimeter and a custom, beautiful rug for the middle of the room which is absolutely gorgeous! My husband and I wanted to update our great room, dining room and office and Debbie proved to be a wonderful and knowledgeable professional who quickly understood our concerns, tastes, and needs. After hearing about our goals she and her team developed a number of options for our consideration. I can be easily overwhelmed with too many choices and I trusted and appreciated her confidence to provide options(chair designs or fabrics, for instance) of various pricing or style for us to consider. Debbie would always discuss in detail how the elements fit into our overall plan. And if something wasn’t going to work, I truly appreciated her candor! We recently renovated the kitchen and family room. We knocked down a wall to open the space in the kitchen. Therefore I wanted the design to flow through both rooms since these are the most high traffic areas and rooms we spend the most time of for a family of 6 (including 4 children under 13). My family room has always been a pain point because I have zero design abilities (as much as I am obsessed with watching HGTV..lol). Therefore thats why we decided to call in the experts at butter & velvet came highly recommended by many people in my town. From our first meeting they closely listened to our needs and our styles that we like. There were many design options presented and helped us narrow down what we liked and fit our budget. Through the process of a home renovation we also experienced a severe family illness that led to hospitalization. Through it all everyone at B&V has been so accommodating with purchases, deliveries, multiple visits to our home, etc. Even when an item was broken when delivered it was take care of within minutes and a replacement was ordered. Responses to emails and texts have always been same day which is extremely reassuring when making real time design and construction decisions.
