Denville | Basement

This incredible basement was created with family and colder temperatures in mind. The family wanted a place to retreat in the winter with a laid back, natural, California coastal vibe; completely different than the rest of their elegant home. Their wish for four defined spaces (living, dining, bar, and games) was achieved with unique and custom pieces all around. The large banquette was custom made to fit the niche and maximizes the seating around the large 90” table. The light fixture above the table adds a really industrial feel to the area. If that isn’t enough seating for snacking, the bar is large with plenty more seating and counter space.
There is so much space to lounge on the large sectional, comfy chairs by the fireplace, or at the custom table behind the sofa which was made by local iron and woodworkers. It even includes an electric hookup for charging phones and computers. 
In the bathroom, we used vinyl wallpaper that is textured to look like wood. There are many other elements, like the faux painted wood barndoors and reclaimed beams and shelving that pull the entire space together cohesively and make it a place where everyone wants to hang out.

This beautiful kitchen was created with family in mind. Our clients have young children so it was important that this design incorporate beauty and comfort as well as durability for years to come. The sleek and clean white cabinets and counters plus the pop of navy in the island and bar area are accented beautifully with brass hardware and fixtures.

Mountain Lakes | Master Bedroom & Living Loft

We worked with this client on several different areas of the home while using many existing elements to create family and dog friendly spaces. We did custom window treatments throughout and also added in custom pillows and commissioned art. The rug in the family room was a large custom size to accentuate the swirled design.

The goal in the master bedroom was to create a spa-like retreat overlooking the lake while using the existing furniture and bedding. We chose all new light fixtures without moving the existing wiring. We always love when everyone gets involved in the design and it was no exception when the husband gave the inspiration for the lighting hanging over the nightstands. So unique! We painted the wall behind the bed for some interest in the client’s favorite color, blue, and the rug was custom cut from carpet for the room. The swivel chairs by the window create the perfect place to sit and enjoy the view out the large bedroom windows. 

The guest bathroom was outfitted with a custom roman shade to compliment the existing colors.
